Our Leadership

"The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching."

1 Tim: 5-17

Sid Rogers

Sid was born in Des Moines, Iowa and bounced between Iowa and Southern California during his growing up years until 1980 when he finally settled in Southern California to attend Talbot Seminary (Biola University). Sid teaches science at Cerritos High School full-time and serves our church as the Teaching Pastor as well as the President of the Board. He has been at Vineyard North OC for 14 years and is presently responsible for the Sunday morning teaching, various training seminars, and serves as an Elder. He and his wife, Nancy, have two grown sons, Daniel and Paul. Daniel is married to Heidi and they live in Salt Lake City, Utah with their two sons, Langdon and Atticus. Paul is attending college at the University of Utah. In his spare time, which is limited, Sid enjoys reading and woodcarving.

Tim Uvalle

Tim serves as an elder on the Board at Vineyard North Orange County. A Southern California native, he attended school in the area and now lives in Yorba Linda. He studied to be an electrician and went through the Local #11 I.B.E.W. Apprenticeship to become an electrician and works as Vice President of Business Development for a large electrical contractor. Tim has attended the Vineyard for 33 years, since 1980. He taught/served in Children's Ministry and Men's Ministry for 23 years and currently has Pastoral oversight over Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Pastoral Leadership, and House Electricians. Men's Ministry is the call on Tim's life, and boy does he have a vision and passion for it. Men need great leadership. Men are drawn by vision and purpose, by achievement and power. Churches that attract enthusiastic men do so by taking risks, dreaming big, and bringing a measure of adventure back to the Christian life. Tim enjoys spending time with his family, as well as, his Vineyard small group, "The Journey," traveling, hiking, walking, watching movies, and maybe watching a USC football game or two. He has a passion for God's Word, worship, and seeking and developing all of God's gifts placed within him. Tim would say, "I am about being like Jesus, doing the works of Jesus, followed by the signs and wonders of Jesus, through the authority and power of the Holy Spirit as God wills, as God moves, anytime and anywhere."

Rick Rivera

Rick is a Southern California native. He was born in East Los Angeles and raised in both East LA and Pico Rivera. He started attending the La Habra Vineyard with his family in 2001. Prior to that, he attended the Pico Rivera Vineyard for 14 years. He lives in Whittier with his wife, Coppie and three children, Gaege, Marc and Rileigh. Besides being a member of the Board of Elders, Rick and Coppie oversee Storehouse, the Church's food and clothing ministry, as well as, the Mercy Evangelism Team (METS) that conducts various outreaches throughout the year, all to serve the surrounding community. In his free time, Rick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, camping, and admiring his small antique rifle collection.

Joseph L. Alio

Joe was born and raised in Southern California. Joe came to Christ in 1981 and has been an ardent follower since. Married in 1986 to Susie, his lifelong love and Mom to their three young adults, Daniel, Michael and Mariah. He has served as a Deacon, Usher, in Marriage Ministry, Men’s Ministry, and as a Small Group Leader and is currently serving as an Elder. He and Susie also run a business together in La Habra, Integrity Automotive. Joe has also served as a Board Member of Rio Hondo College in the Automotive Technologies Department and Whittier High School ROP. He has attended Vineyard North Orange County since 1996. Joe enjoys working on cars, photography, deep-sea fishing, camping, barbecuing and hanging out with his family.

Coppie Rivera

Coppie was born and raised in Southern California. She now lives in La Habra, with her husband Rick and 3 kids. She has attended Vineyard North OC since 2001. She likes to go camping with her family and friends and loves to read. When she’s not working in the office, you can find her working in the warehouse. She and Rick oversee VNOC's Storehouse Ministry, a weekly food and clothing distribution ministry.

Susie Alio

Susanna, or "Susie," has attended The Vineyard North Orange County since 2006. Susie grew up in a Christian home where her parents helped plant an Evangelical church in National City, California (Iglesia Evangelica Bethel) and later pastored a church in Tijuana, Mexico. Susie was ordained in 1998 through her previous church, Deeper Life Ministries, has ministered in various Hispanic churches in the San Diego area and has a passion and zeal to bring people into the kingdom of God.

While at Vineyard North Orange County she has shared the gospel to our Storehouse families and prayed for their needs. This has developed into the planting of our Spanish church, La Viña NOC. Susie felt God calling her not only to start this ministry, but Pastor it and officially plant it within our local church. Her vision is to raise up leaders in this church and enlarge the Kingdom of God in this community. The Vineyard is a wonderful fit for the Hispanic community in that it allows His children the freedom to fully encounter God and the move of the Holy Spirit without legalism.

Susie is married to Joe Alio and they have three young adult children, Daniel, Michael and Mariah, who also attend Vineyard North Orange County and Vineyard Fullerton. Joe & Susie also own Integrity Automotive in La Habra where they work together as business owners.

"My passion is to bring people to Jesus, to encourage them to grow and see God work in their lives."
